Our client is an online fashion jewellery store that creates opportunities for buyers to purchase traditional, inspiring and unique jewellery pieces made from the finest craftsmen. The huge collection of fabulous necklaces, rings, bracelets, cufflinks, earrings, and bullets available on the store allows buyers to make a great choice depending upon their personality.
The store also has a separate collection of revolution and traditional jewellery allowing buyers to browse through a wide range of inspiring looks and get sneak-peeks of their favorite piece.
The client wanted us to create a website that connects with potential buyers and jewellery fashionistas. An entire e-commerce site was required to be developed from scratch that would showcase their exceptional line of jewellery that cannot be found in regular online e-commerce shops or physical stores.
The client wanted its eCommerce website to be a super-scalable one to create an online presence, that grows their business to great heights.
The brains behind the project was concerned about the level of user experience as the traffic wasn't just enough for the brand to make users buy their collection of jewellery. They also wanted to design an eCommerce store in a way that online shoppers find it easy to browse the entire jewellery collection as per their requirements.
Also, each of their jewellery pieces is available with different attributes like weight, size, type of gem, metal, etc. so it was quite complex to manage them from backend and allow users to search easily on the website.
We were responsible for the whole project, so first we had started with detailed research and analysis and then put together a plan for the development of the eCommerce website which includes CMS integration, language, web server, database, and third-party API integration. According to our planning, we’ve setup a team of experienced developers, designers, QA and project managers to manage the project.
We’ve built a website using WordPress CMS which allows the client to manage all the content including images and videos from the admin panel. A website driven by a CMS gives admin the ability to edit the content areas of the website using an online text editor. We’ve used an exclusive WordPress theme “BeTheme” to provide a neat, familiar and easy to use interface that would be loved by the potential online customers.
To enable eCommerce functionalities on the website, WordPress WooCommerce has been used which manages all the products, product categories, checkout process, and other functional eCommerce aspects. To manage different attributes of jewellery, we’ve provided an excel document import having mapped information according to jewellery. This excel document just needed to be prepared along with different attributes and uploaded from the backend. Also, an intuitive interface is developed in the backend to create bulk attributes and link them with appropriate jewellery.
We’ve also integrated Google Tag Manager on the website to track traffic, visitors and their actions. The other functionalities developed on the website include newsletter for sales and coupon codes to engage online shoppers and encourage them to buy products by availing the best deals.
