The website is built for one of the leading brand dealing in HVAC industry from past many years. It is serving as one of the best online sources for home appliances and replacement parts. From the largest wholesalers to individual homeowners, this e-commerce portal serves customers all over the USA and across the world. They offer a wide range of appliances and replacement parts for plumbing, wood & pellet stoves, commercial kitchens, and HVAC systems.
This project came to us for customizations and technology up-gradations. The overall focus of the client was to improve the performance of the website without affecting its overall SEO visibility that has been built over the years.
The migrations and technology up-gradations have always been a major concern because it seems like a small task, but this is not the reality. These tasks always cause compatibility issues at the later execution stage and then required custom coding to get things sorted out. The same situation came up during this project as well, the Magento version upgrade caused lots of compatibility issues.
We planned our strategies for technology up-gradation, as a part of which initially we had identified that the latest compatible Magento version on which we were planning to move the site, which also requires mandatory theme up-gradation. Accordingly, we came up with an apt solution and moved ahead with up-grading Magento along with updating the theme, which also involved customization to avoid compatibility issues.
